This Week at Club dVIN
Since 1859, the Hospices de Beaune has hosted its famed charity wine auction annually on the third Sunday in November. This exclusive, invitation-only event is celebrated amidst a series of lavish festivities, including a dinner at Clos de Vougeot and the legendary "La Paulée de Meursault" lunch. The auction showcases wines from approximately 61 hectares of vineyards, generously donated to the Hospices de Beaune, with nearly all classified as Premier or Grand Cru.
The wines are vinified by the Hospices and "finished" by participating domaines. In 2023, through one of our very own members, whose love, knowledge and relationships in Burgundy are unrivaled, we have obtained two prized cuvées that will be bottled exclusively for Club dVIN and labelled accordingly!

🍷Hospices de Beaune 2023 Beaune Premier Cru Cuvée Maurice Drouhin
Cuvée Maurice Drouhin's namesake was for many years Vice President of the Hospices de Beaune. At the same time, he was also head of Maison Joseph Drouhin -- one of Burgundy's longest standing and most respected family wineries.
Maurice donated top vineyard plots (2.7 hectares in total) in the Beaune Premier Cru appellation. The cuvée, particularly when finished by the Drouhin family, is one the most prized and rare acquisitions at the auction.
We have just eight six-pack lots in original wood boxes at €810/lot. Bottles are labelled Acquéreur: Club dVIN, and will be available to ship in June of 2025.
🍷Hospices de Beaune 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru Cuvée Rameau-Lamarosse by Albert Bichot
Cuvée Rameau-Lamarosse is made in homage to the Lamarosse family that left their estate, including a prized, minuscule 0.7 hectare plot of Premier Cru vineyard in Pernand-Vergelesses, to the Hospices de Beaune.
This minute offering is finished by none other than Alberic Bichot, who is the largest single buyer and biggest benefactor of the Hospices de Beaune.
We have just four six-pack lots in original wood boxes at €600/lot. Bottles are labelled Acquéreur: Club dVIN, and will be available to ship in June of 2025.
