🍷 Livestream Recap: A Historic Start to 2026
This week’s drop, what’s next, and one last call for Brunello
We’re officially back into the rhythm of the year - and this Wine Wednesday was a good reminder of why we love these sessions.
Between a legendary Burgundy drop, a peek at what’s coming next, and a final nudge on Tuscany, here’s a quick recap if you missed it live 👇
🍇 This Week’s Drop: Hospices de Beaune, Pommard (2018)
This week’s Wine Wednesday was all about our first wine drop of 2026: a 2018 Hospices de Beaune Pommard, Cuvée Raymond Cyrot.
We talked through why the Hospices de Beaune matters so much in Burgundy:
a centuries-old charitable institution, a November auction that sets price signals for the entire region, and vineyards donated over hundreds of years. It’s history, philanthropy, and terroir all in one bottle.
For Burgundy lovers, Pommard needs no introduction - structured, confident, and built to age. The 2018 vintage adds generosity and depth, while still keeping the firm backbone the appellation is known for. It’s exactly the kind of wine we love to start a year with.
The drop is members only, and details are already in inboxes.

🔮 Looking Ahead: Next Wine Drop
We also teased what’s coming next - and it’s a special one.
In two weeks, we’ll be releasing a rare cuvée from Château Palmer, inspired by XIXᵗʰ-century Bordeaux traditions. A wine that looks backward in the best way, and one we’re genuinely excited to share.
More details soon.

📅 A Quick Calendar Note
One small correction from the livestream:
There will be no Wine Wednesday next week, as I’ll be skiing in Austria.
Our next Wine Wednesday takes place on January 29, when we’ll be joined by Markus Gladitsch, who will be walking us through his creative work around the digital cork for the upcoming Palmer drop 👀
That one will be worth the wait.

🇮🇹 Final Days for Brunello
And finally: Brunello.
We’re down to the last days to confirm the group for our Spring Brunello Experience in Montalcino. A small group, deep access, and time spent properly with some of the most important producers in the region, alongside Filippo Magnani.
If you’ve been on the fence, now is the moment.

More drops, more conversations, and more good wine ahead.
