We’re kicking off the year with Wine Wednesday, and we’re heading straight to the coast.
Our first guest of 2026 is Nils Lackner (https://nilslackner.com/), sommelier, educator, and certified oyster expert from Sylt, Germany’s northernmost island. Nils is known for his deep connection to maritime terroir as well as for his work pairing coastal wines with oysters and seafood.
This session is about sense of place: how the ocean shapes vineyards, how salinity shows up in the glass, and why certain wines feel inseparable from where they’re grown.
