How the Grinch Stole Fine Wine
The wine lovers of Web3 liked tokenized wine a lot,
But the Grinch, who lived off-chain, certainly did not!
The Grinch hated fine wine, the blockchain, and cheer,
And he schemed to disrupt our great dVIN year.
"These bottles on-chain are a headache," he spat.
"All these labels and ledgers—what nonsense is that?
With the world's top Chateaux now part of the crowd,
These vintages of legend make them all far too proud!"
Then he snuck to the cellar on that cold winter’s eve,
Thinking he’d swipe what dVIN believes.
"I’ll take all the tokens and cork up their fun,
Let’s see them track bottles by the time I am done!"
But as he prepared to pilfer the stash,
He stumbled across a wallet and a flash.
The blockchain was humming with data so fine,
Updating each bottle’s true origin line.
From the slope of Burgundy to Coonawarra below,
The Grinch saw the proof of each terroir flow.
With Petrus secure and DRC in its vault,
He realized his scheme was rife with a fault.
"This $VIN thing," he muttered, "is smarter than me,
Fine wine on-chain, it’s the future, I see!
They’ve tokenized taste, and paired it with smarts,
A revolution of bottles, wallets, and hearts."
So the Grinch returned every bottle and case,
Leaving no trace of his disgruntled disgrace.
He joined in the fun, raising a toast,
To the vision of dVIN, an ambitious host.
And what happened then? Well, in Web3 they say,
The Grinch’s wine cellar grew three sizes that day!
